Melting point:

The melting point of the base material in colored coated coils is relatively high. For steel-based coils, the melting point is approximately 1500-1530℃, while for aluminum-based coils, it is around 660℃. This makes them suitable for use in environments exposed to high temperatures.

Coefficient of thermal expansion:

The coefficient of thermal expansion varies depending on the base material. For steel-based colored coated coils, the coefficient is about 11.7×10⁻⁶/℃, while for aluminum-based coils, it is higher, at approximately 23.1×10⁻⁶/℃. These properties ensure dimensional stability under varying temperature conditions.

Thermal conductivity:

The thermal conductivity of colored coated coils depends on the base material. Steel has a thermal conductivity of about 50W/(m·K), while aluminum has a much higher value of approximately 205W/(m·K). The coating layer slightly reduces the overall thermal conductivity but provides additional insulation properties.

Electrical conductivity:

The electrical conductivity of colored coated coils is determined by the base material. Steel has relatively low electrical conductivity, while aluminum exhibits high conductivity. The coating layer acts as an insulator, further reducing the overall electrical conductivity.

Corrosion resistance:

While passivation is not typically required for colored coated coils, the base material (especially steel) can undergo passivation treatment before coating to enhance its natural corrosion resistance. This involves forming a thin oxide layer on the surface to improve durability.
